Parents are always on their toes to find out what interests their child and encourage them to pursue what they like. It is not as easy as it sounds, it could be tedious and you may not know how to go about it. But don’t you worry, we have brought along the following steps that can help you identify their interest and help them grow in their chosen area through the vast range of tasks in Pamakid.
Step 1- Build Knowledge
The first step is to make your child aware of different things such as sports, games, puzzles, drawing, craft, cooking etc. Make sure to give this knowledge to your kids in small doses lest they might get confused.
Step 2 – Provide Exposure
Once you figure out what your child is showing their interest in, give them encouragement and platforms to showcase their talent. You can start from your home itself. Say they like dancing, make them practice at home, give them some space and let them enjoy this activity. You don’t have to worry about them perfecting the art as long as they are having fun doing it.
Step 3- Observe
As a parent, you should always be observing your child instead of just watching your child. For example, when you take your child out to play a sport, say basketball, your primary focus shouldn’t be that your child might get hurt but observe if they are enjoying playing the sport. This will help you determine their interest.
Step 4 – Be Patient
Finding a child’s interest can be difficult because it may change every alternate day. Always remember, never force your child into liking something. Follow the process and check the outcome.
The above steps can produce fruitful results and can help you find your child’s interests at an early age.
